The sabbath as we know it today is identified with a counterfeit calendar and time keeping system.
We use it in our era, but it was not so from the beginning of time. Daniel 7:25 “he shall think to AMEND or CHANGE TIMES AND LAWS. Today, we use modern timing conventions such as the Gregorian calendar in our era, but these systems are inventions and DO not date back to Creation.
The Gregorian calendar replaced the Julian calendar primarily because the Julian calendar’s calculation of the solar year was slightly inaccurate, leading to a gradual drift of the calendar with respect to the seasons and the date of Easter. The Gregorian calendar, introduced in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII, corrected this by adjusting the leap year rules and dropping ten days from October to realign the calendar.
Jeremiah 10 – “learn not the way of the heathen – for their practices are worthless and vain. So, it is with using their timing inventions to keep the appointed and holy times and festivals.
Sabbath restored is not the inauguration of Yahauah’s sabbath as that has not changed; but our understanding has been compromised and lost due to breaking the covenant of our Abba. John 4:23-24 – But the time is coming—indeed it is here now- when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.
Exodus 23:12-17
12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
14 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.
15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of in gathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord God.
Genesis 1:14 – And I will give you the luminaries, the Sun, moon and stars for days, weeks, months and appointed times. The calendar that was supplied by Yahauah was given in the beginning. I, the Most High change not. Not even for modern day Babylon.
Sirach 33:9
“Some of them hath he made high days, and hallowed them, and some of them hath he made ordinary days.”
The lunisolar calendar is biblical.
The earth is said to revolve around the sun in one year.
Moon means “month.” A lunation is Approx 30 days.
The introduction of a new moon first appears in Numbers 29:6. However we understand the moon was created on the 4th day. Many Saturday or Gregorian calendar keepers argue that because the moon was created on Day 4 it cannot be used in the calculation of a new month. But see the scripture below in Isaiah… from one new month to another new one. The chronological order of the subject matter respective to biblical topics do not change the structure of how it was implemented. For example, you do not actually see though shalt not kill until Exodus 20:13, yet the Most High told Cain where is your brother.. His blood or remains crieth from the ground. That is a clear indication that murdering or the slaying of an innocent individual is wrong. It was so from the beginning. So it is with the moon leading off the new month.
Gregorian calendar sabbath keepers assert that Saturday has been the sabbath since the beginning of time. Those assertions or claims can’t be proven but are disproved by the fact that the seventh day was never Named and the Gregorian and modern calendars have shifted the days in the week often fluctuating from a 7 day week to a 10 day week. Many empires have used these timing conventions; however the Creators timing system according to Genesis 1:14 is tested and proven and stands from history to present day with the observation of the great lights.

Now, Gregorian sabbath keepers argue that Sunday is wrong but they decided to use the same calendar and move one day back and felt their work was done.
Most Gregorian sabbath keepers says we will use the pagan calendar for our weekly sabbath but for the High holy days we will use the moon! Think – you are essentially using 2 separate time keeping systems and the Creator hates mixing and the dilution of scripture. It’s simple, the weekly sabbath is a holy day and is apart of the days and the appointed times!
Again it’s time for us to worship the Creator in spirit and in truth!
Isaiah 66:23
From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the LORD.
When is the Sabbath?
a. This is one of the greatest dilemmas of all time. Most Christians believe that the Sabbath is always on a Sunday. They believe Christ resurrection day was on Sunday and thus they should make Sunday their day of worship and homage.
i. History – Roman Emperor Constantine issued a civil decree in 321 that made Sunday a day of rest. The enforcement of Sunday rest, although it is waning in some respects, is still pushed and urges parishioners to observe Sunday which is in direct opposition to what the Creator says.
ii. Most 7th Day Adventist, 7th Day Church of God and a large segment of the Israelite population believe that the Sabbath is on each Saturday.
iii. Let us examine the scripture to see what it says:
1. Genesis – in the beginning YAH called everything into being and the creation and specifics of what was created were numbered by the days. In the evening and the morning was the first day… second day. etc. We fast forward to Genesis 2 – it states that YAHWEH rested on the seventh day, sanctified it, and made it Holy. No where do we see in scripture that YAH called the 7th Day of the Week “Saturday.” In that manner He only numbered the days, He DID NOT name them!!
Numbers 28:11-15 “At the beginning of your months (or when a new moon comes in). (MOON means month)
2. Ezekiel 46:1 “Thus says YAH: the gate of the inner court that faces east shall be shut on the six working days, but on the Sabbath day it shall be opened, and on the day of the NEW MOON it shall be opened.
a. Now, we have established that a new moon establishes or brings in a new month and that this is a special day.
b. Sabbaths in scripture fell on the eighth day of the MONTH or NEW MOON.
i. New MOON Day is the beginning of the month. So, this is DAY 1. Days 2- 7 of the new calendar month are your ordinary working days. The eighth day of the month is the seventh day to end the work week is thus the day of the rest. Notice the scripture DOES NOT say the sabbath is the seventh of each week. Neither does it say that the sabbath is EVERY seven days as the new moon day would be day one.
If the 1st day of the month is a normal work day, then the sabbath would indeed fall on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28 of each month. This logic would disregard the very fact that the new moon is scripture is not an ordinary working day. But let’s keep going with the logic that Day 1 is a working day, the days 7 and days 14th would be your sabbath.
Let’s look at sabbath rules in scripture…
Exodus 16:28 -29
28 And the Lord said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?29 See! The Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Remain each of you in his place; let no one go out of his place on the seventh day.”
“Let no one go out…” so then how does the great exodus of the Israelites leaving Egypt literally happen on the 14th day of the month at even? Wouldn’t that be a sabbath violation, no because the sabbath fell on the 15 day of the month which commemorates the first day of unleavened bread which was a high sabbath Day! This concept of double sabbaths are lies and falsehoods!! The concept of day starting at night is also a lie. The greater light or the Sun, will rule the day, the lesser light will rule the night!
*** The key to eliminating the lies and untruths from our minds is to embrace scripture.” The Creator named the days of the month by numbering them. Each sabbath in scripture fell on the 8, 15, 22 and 29th day of each moon or month. You will not get this understanding if you are still trying to understand this by using a pagan calendar. A display of a biblical month. In your quest for biblical truth, keep seeking the Most High, be sincere and ask Him for HIS truth and the ability to obey it in a world that defies the truth of His scriptures.
